I was told I was having a dissolvable op for my prolapse. Years later I was constantly going to the doctors, saying I feel like I have rusty nails in my pelvis.

I was told it’s the menopause, I thought wow menopause is horrendous.

I was watching TV one night and it came on about vaginal mesh I then looked up in my medical notes and found out I had TVT tape which is a plastic mesh sling.

I was horrified that I’d been lied to. Since then I’ve had so many tests; been told I could be worse if I have it removed but I really want this poison out of my body.

I’ve been on a waiting list at St Mary in Manchester for 3 years. Had a few tests but I haven’t heard anything in over a year now.

I can’t stand for long sex is painful so this has ruined my relationships.
