Denise says her physical and mental health are in tatters after mesh

I had a prolapse of the vaginal wall and had surgery to fix this in 2009 when I was 54. My surgeon who did the operation said this will make my systems and life better. The surgeon never fully explained what this operation involved or of the complications until many years later. I have gone to hell and back since 2009 with my bowel and bladder – horrendous pain, infections, can’t evacuate my bowel and the hard part is I have had to major surgeries to correct the prolapse and its still there with mesh sitting there stuck between my bladder and vagina turning over on the left. My life is in ruins. My mental state is in tatters. I have severe anxiety and panic. I have no life as I knew it. I am a shell of my former self. I can’t enjoy my Grandchildren can’t plan holidays, there is no enjoyment just suffering. We mesh injured need to be heard and compensation needs to be given. It won’t give us back our lives but sure will help with our care .
