While there are numerous implications of bad mesh surgery by the NHS; some women are probably like my wife who has difficulty in addressing some of the more personal things like our sex life.

Since her surgery she cannot enjoy a normal sex life. While she has a few times tried to raise the issue with the hospital who did the surgery they just try to fob her off with suggestions that she should just try to stretch/expand the vagina. For anyone who has had a mesh implant will know not only is this very painful it also does not work. The have never admitted that they botched the operation.

The results of the botched NHS mesh surgery have I am sure affected not only the women themselves, their partners and also their relationships.

There should be some accountability by the NHS, for their botched surgeries. While it may not always be possible to rectify the botched surgery by skilled surgenos the NHS should be held accountable and cover the costs of rectifications even if this needs to be done privately.
